A notice from the program states that Dr. Jill Rush-Kolodzey, a Coushatta native, has accepted the position of the LSUS Chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science. Dr. Rush has been an integral part of the MPH program since its inception and has led it through two successful accreditations cycles. “As Chair of the LSUS Department of Kinesiology and Health Science, I am excited that my new position allows me to continue to promote our Master of Public Health Program and to provide direction to our Bachelor of Science in Public Health Program,” Dr. Rush-Kolodzey said. “We intend to work toward having our BS in Public Health accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)”
Dr. Matthew Kelley has accepted the position as the Interim Director of the LSUS/ LSUHS MPH Program. “I am honored to serve as the Interim MPH Program Director starting this Fall,” Dr. Kelley said. “I look forward to building on the momentum that Dr. Rush has established for the program and helping our students, faculty and staff thrive going forward.
