Friday, August 26, the Riverdale Rebels football team wins 38 – 14 against the United Christian Academy
Lions. It was an amazing game, and the boys were fantastic! The Rebel offense put on quite a show!
Quarterback Ryder Huddleston was 2 for 2 in passing for 89 yards with Kaidyn Williams his target each
time. Williams scored a touchdown on each reception and received offensive MVP for the game.
Williams, along with Zane Givens, Kane Dortlon, and Ashton Almond also had carries for the Rebels. Kyle
Guillory carried for a 57-yard touchdown and had 2 punt returns for 90 yards, one of which being a 58-
yard touchdown: and he had an interception for a 42-yard touchdown. Guillory received this week’s
game ball for his outstanding performance.
But let’s not forget about the very important Rebel defense. Almond received defensive MVP for the
game with 4 solo tackles, 3 assists (4 TFL), a sack, and a fumble recovery. Williams, Huddleston, and
Givens along with Hayden Hillman, Jaxon Gates, John Windham, Landen Barrett, Tanner Carlisle, and
Logan Gryder also made defensive stops which contributed to this week’s win. Keep up the good work
boys! Good luck to the Rebels as they travel to Porter’s Chapel this week!
