How many of us were glued to the weather radar late Monday afternoon as severe weather danced all around us? The parish was under a tornado watch, thunderstorm warnings, flash flood advisories, and a tornado alert.
Social media and television were full of reports and updates. For the most part a lot of wind and rain was all that fell from the skies.
Many sought shelter in the strongest part of their home.
The drama lasted into the evening hours. We watched several tornadoes indicated by radar move through. Thankfully there were no reports of major damage. And only a few power outages were caused by the storm.
