The Red River Parish Library reported a good turnout for their Polar Express party held just before Christmas. Popcorn, hot chocolate, and gingerbread cookies were served. Everyone got a hardback copy of the book Polar Express to take home as a gift.
I you see smoke in the Ashland area, The La. Department of Agriculture and Forestry said a controlled burn was being conducted by a private landowner of approximately 30 acres on the Red Nelson Road near Ashland. The burns will be conducted Tuesday and Wednesday.
