First Baptist Honors Graduates

On May 21, 2022, First Baptist Church Coushatta honored its four high school seniors during Sunday morning services at the church.  Family Ministry Coordinator Julie Page introduced the graduates. All are 2022 graduates of Riverdale Academy and plan to attend colleges in the area.

They are Reagan Huddleston, Ty Jones, Jake Messenger, and Renee Prosperie. Reagan is the son of Celeste and Matt Huddleston and plans to attend Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and study business. Reagan was unable to attend the church presentation.

Ty, the son of Julie Jones and Tyler Jones, plans to study business, and has not yet decided on a college. Jake Messenger, son of Ashlie and Clay Messenger, plans to attend Northwestern. He, too, will study business.

Renee, the daughter of Donna and Carey Prosperie, has made a different college choice than that of her classmates. She will continue a family tradition and attend Louisiana Christian University (formerly Louisiana College) in Pineville. She will study nursing.

The congregation enjoyed a slide presentation of the graduates as they were growing up. The graduating seniors were presented study Bibles by Page. She also challenged each one to live with passion, live with humility, and live life with purpose.

Interim church pastor Bro. Wayne Dubose also spoke to the graduates, expressing pride in their accomplishments. He reminded them, “The church will stand beside you and pray for you.” Following services, the congregation enjoyed a meal in the church’s family life center.
