Pictured are four young ladies from Coushatta, left to right, Faerie Sledge, Sara Adams, Julie Page, and Laurie Jones, who took part in the 11th annual 5K Run/Walk fundraiser for the Women’s Resource Center in Natchitoches on Saturday May 7, 2022.
The race began on the bricks on Front Street, crossed over the Church Street bridge twice, and wound around through several residential neighborhoods. Approximately 150 people ranging in age from 7 up to 83 participated. Prior to the 5K, a 1 mile fun run/walk took place. A 5K is 3.1 miles.
