The Red River Parish Library had its tax renewed on Saturday. A slim turnout of voters, less than 7% of those registered, gave the renewal an overwhelming approval. The action of 354 voters caused the Library’s 7 mills property tax to be renewed for another 10 years.
Librarian Trey Lewis commented, “On behalf of the library staff and board I would like to thank our patrons and for their support in passing our tax renewal.”
The tax proposition was the only item on the ballot.
