The Red River Waterway Commission reports that all public boat launches operated by the Red River Waterway Commission are currently open.

The investiture of Dr. Marcus Jones as Northwestern State University’s 20th president will take place with a formal ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9 in A.A. Fredericks Auditorium and will be followed by a community reception in the Sylvan Friedman Student Union Ballroom.

A reminder from Red River Cowboy Church that the Rodeo triathlon is this Saturday.  It will be a fun filled family day with something for everyone. Proceeds help send Kids to Cowboy Church Camp.

Hickory Grove Baptist Memorial is May 15th.  Following the worship service,  there will be a dinner under the Pavilion behind the Church.   Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish (or two) and cokes or tea.
