Very proud mother Val Cox took to social media to proclaim her son is now a senator. Johnny Cox, Jr. recently graduated from high school and is now attending Northwestern State University.
Val Cox said, “Congrats to NSU’s newest SGA Senator Johnny Cox Jr. & all newly elected officers.” She added, “He is extremely thankful to the student body at Northwestern for electing him to serve them!”
Young Cox is the son of Coushatta Mayor Johnny Cox and School Board Member Valerie Cox of Coushatta. His uncle Kenny Cox is concluding his term as a State Representative from District 23. Cox, Jr. is getting involved with student government at NSU
Val Cox said to her son, “Continue to shoot for the moon and seek the kingdom of God first. We are proud of you Johnny!”
