Water Restored, Boil Advisory, School Reopens

Water service was restored to the town of Coushatta beginning about noon on Wednesday.   Water pressure was lost due to an outage caused during an electrical storm Tuesday night.

The water may be flowing again, however a boil advisory remains in effect.  It was declared Wednesday morning.  The boil advisory will remain in effect until samples sent to the health department indicate that the water is safe to consume.

Late Wednesday Red River School District issued notice that classes will resume Thursday.  The statement read, “Water service has been restored in the Town of Coushatta.  All Red River Parish Public Schools will be open tomorrow, Thursday, March 10, 2022.”
