Red River Registrar of Voters Debra Jones reminds everyone that Early Voting begins Saturday.  Voting will take place in the Registrar’s office in the Courthouse.  The two candidates for Court of Appeal are on the Red River Ballot.

Red River High has scheduled Prom for April 1st.  Tickets are on sale during lunch at the high school.  The prom will be held in Coushatta at the Old Red River Drug building.

4-H members in the parish are selling ferns to help cover the costs of students attending achievement day, summer camp and other events.  Boston, Asparagus, and Macho ferns are available in hanging baskets for $20.  Delivery is promised by Easter.

How do you celebrate Read across America Day and Dr. Suess birthday?  At Riverdale Academy a group of the high school students grabbed books and headed to the Kindergarten room.  Stacey Greer and the students headed out.  The children were excited to have the special visitors read to them.  Readers included Ryder Huddleston, Georgia Carlisle, and Hayden Hillman.  And to mark the occasion of Dr. Suess’ birthday, those were the books they chose to read.
