Red River Softball Update

By Autumn McCoy

The Lady Bulldogs Softball team travelled to Blanchard to play against the Northwood Falcons last night (Thursday).

The Bulldogs were three up and three down in a disappointing first inning with no one getting on base. In the bottom of the first, Bryn Danzy started on the mound with Gracie Baker catching. The Falcons scored 15 runs their first time up at bat.

Back up at bat in the second inning, the Bulldogs had another disappointing outing with no runs scored. Harley Sepulvado tried her hand at pitching in the second inning. The Bulldogs held the Falcons and did not let them score any runs in the second.

With the Bulldogs unable to score any in the third, the game was over with a score of 15-0, Northwood.

The Lady Bulldogs season has had a slow start, primarily due to the weather.  The next home game will be on Wednesday March 9th.  They will host Jonesboro-Hodge at 5:00 pm.  Come out and see the Lady Bulldogs in action.
