Football Steps Up Its Game

The Bulldog Football schedule for next fall has been published by the school. The competition has been turned up a notch from 2021.  First game is September second at Haughton.

In a conversation with Coach Jeff Harper last week, he remarked that they were aiming for some higher level of play.  The Bulldogs also have new district opponents next season as the LHSAA realigned 2A districts several months ago.

New district opponents are Jonesboro-Hodge and Mansfield.  There has been an annual meeting with the Wolverines, however Jonesboro-Hodge is new to the mix.

For the past several years, the Bulldogs started off with a match with Haughton.  In 2022 they add Parkway, Woodlawn, Loyola and Logansport to the schedule.  Loyola fielded a very impressive team last year. The Dawgs visit the Tigers on week five (September 30th).

Then the schedule moves to five district games to finish up the season.  There are three district games at home including a visit by the Many Tigers in week nine.
