Junior Leaders of Red River 4-H have a great project planned for the MLK observation. MLK Day is January 17. They are making teacher survival kits for all teachers to thank them. 4-H will let them know we are thankful for how hard they work for our kids.
If you’d like to donate any items, you may bring them to the 4-h office now through next Thursday, Jan 20. School supplies, candy, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, chapstick, lotion, etc. would be welcome.
Louisiana 4-H said, “Make MLK Day a day on and not a day off by volunteering in your local community.” As part of Louisiana 4-H’s MLK Day, youth and adults from areas across Louisiana will participate in service projects at different service sites across the state. In addition to Coushatta, these service locations include East Baton Rouge, Lincoln, Orleans, Red River, Richland, Lafourche, Vermilion, Tangipahoa, and Natchitoches.
