Local 4-H members are attending Camp Culinary today and tomorrow. The camp is for ages 9 through 13. The 4-H office will be closed for Christmas December 24th through January 3rd. After the holidays, the Commodity Food Prep Contest will be held on January 17th.
A note from the Red River Parish Library. We had a staff member at the library test positive for Covid so per protocol the library will be closed 10 days. We will reopen on Monday the 27th. Fortunately, the way it falls it will only affect operations 4 days as the rest is holidays or weekend.
From Red River Junior High, The PBIS team gave our faculty/staff and students a little treat Thursday for good behavior. Free nachos and popcorn for the students and corn dogs and fries for the adults. Thank you PBIS for recognizing our schools good behavior.
There will be a benefit Barrel Race at Red River Cowboy Church on Saturday. The day begins with exhibition at 10:00 am. Race begins at 12 Noon.
Riverdale sports is in a holiday break. The Rebels basketball teams will be back in action early next year. On January 4ththey travel to Farmerville for boys, girls and JV district games at Union Christian. And on January 5th they travel to El Dorado, Arkansas for games against West Side Christian.
