Quality Kid Award

Beginning in October, Quality Ford recognized a special student each month. Their first student was recognized Monday afternoon at the meeting of the School Board.

Quality Ford said they are not necessarily looking for the outstanding athlete or academic all-star. They want to recognize students who exemplify good behavior, first and foremost, as well as significant academic improvement, outstanding community service and/or exceptional kindness.

Superintendent Alison Hughes made the introduction.  “Our Quality Kid of the Month for September is from Red River Elementary School, and her name is Nevaeh Johnson.  She is our first one ever, so this is quite an honor.” said Hughes.

Hughes said, “Nevaeh worked hard on all of her assignments the second half of the 9 weeks to bring her grades up drastically.  She will now be ending the nine weeks with an A and a B in my class. She is always the first to want to answer questions in class and play her part in partner work or any math work we do on the front board.  She also jumps up to help others any time they are struggling.”

After Johnson was introduced, Thom Hoeflinger of Quality Ford presented the certificate, a balloon bouquet, and gift package to Johnson. Hoeflinger announced that a student each month would be recognized as the Quality Kid.  And he said all will be recognized at a banquet at the end of school where the Quality Kid of the Year will be named.
