Environmental Science and History

At Red River High this week, Mr. Richard Arnold’s Environmental Science classes were exploring chemical reactions in the lab. Students were so excited to see the results of their experiments in action.

Over at the Junior High, Coach Pat Hanish’s 8th grade history class had a fun day last Thursday.  They split the class in half and traveled back in time to 1803 to decide if the USA should purchase the territory of Louisiana from the French.

Coach Hanish was the Vice President of the United States, and the class was divided into the different parties of the senate.  They took turns making arguments and defending their point of view in heated senate debate.

The students had to refer to each other as senators and try to decide if the Louisiana Purchase was going to be the right decision for the young United States of America
