Severe storms including reported tornadoes skimmed the northern areas of Red River parish earlier this week. Some trees were reported downed along US 71 south of Hall Summit as the storms moved through.
Now we may be in for more today. From the National Weather Service on Thursday afternoon:
There is an Enhanced Risk for severe t-storms across much of the area Friday afternoon through the overnight hours and into Saturday morning. Damaging winds, very large hail, & isolated tornadoes will be possible. Locally heavy rainfall may also lead to isolated flash flooding.
