Sunrise at Grand Bayou

Several churches in the area held early Sunday morning Sunrise Services on Easter Sunday.  And there was a public Sunrise Service held about 6:30 am at Grand Bayou on the fishing pier.

Bro. Matt Endris of Fairview Baptist Church delivered the message “Raised Right” after those gathered began with two favorite Easter hymns.  Because He Lives lead off followed by the Old Rugged Cross.

Bro. Endris spoke of being raised right in the family.  He said, “Many folks believe that as long as you know who Jesus is, you’re going to heaven.  Well there is more to it.  Now that He has been raised I have to change my life every day.”

Endris recalled the story of the resurrection, of Jesus appearing to the women at the empty tomb and reassuring them they should not be afraid.  Endris asked, “Why are you troubled.  You and I respond to the resurrection.  He is risen!  Where are we headed?”

Endris added, “When Jesus spoke with his disciples and ate fish to reassure him that he was alive.  That proved He is the substance of life.”  Endris closed with if you know Him you have life.  If not, you don’t.”
