Fairview Family Picnic

By Hayley Loe

Easter brought many events and activities for the families of the surrounding commutes. Fairview Baptist Church hosted a Fairview Family Picnic at the Fairview ballpark. The church had many activities for the families to enjoy together, children were even able to take pictures with the Easter bunny as he stopped by to get pictures with all of the children.

The church had over 8,000 eggs for the children to hunt, each child received a basket of goodies at the end of the hunt to ensure that this Easter would be memorable. There were many activities like corn hole, inflatables, bazooka ball, a kickball game and hot air balloon rides. People who came were also able to enjoy two bands, Williamson Branch and The Jason Lovins Band, along with a delicious meal of brisket, sausage, baked beans, potato salad, bread and cookies was served.

The church is currently rebuilding their sanctuary in order to contain their ever growing church community. Those who are taking a ride to Natchitoches on highway 71  can see the ever growing progress on the new sanctuary. The old one was torn down a couple of months ago. Fairview Baptist is home to many welcoming families and an open church staff, they would love for anyone to stop by and enjoy their Sunday morning and night services, and Wednesday night youth groups and kids church. The church wants to thank everyone for coming out and enjoying a great day.
