Kate Elizabeth Harrison Frick

A graveside service celebrating the life of Kate Elizabeth Harrison Frick, 96, of Creston, LA will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston, LA with Bro. Olan McLaren officiating, assisted by her nephew Keith Clayton of Terrell, Texas. Services under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home, Coushatta, LA.

Mrs. Frick was born on August 3, 1924 in Dodson, LA to William Lee and Francis Lucille Faith Harrison. Shortly after graduating from Jonesboro Hodge High School, she moved to Leesville, LA where she met her husband of 50 years, Wilson who was stationed there while in the Navy. They resided in several different places during his service but made Creston their final home where they lived and worked with their family for over 30 years in several businesses, most recently Sea & Sirloin restaurant on Black Lake. Mrs. Frick loved greeting and getting to know her customers, who became friends over the years. She loved her family and was the matriarch of five generations, staying active in all of her grandchildren’s lives. Rarely did she miss an event. She loved life and lived every one of her 96 years to the fullest. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on February 19, 2021 after a short illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lee and Francis Lucille Faith Harrison; husband, Henry Wilson Frick; son, Wilson Lee “Sonny” Frick; and sister, Francis “Boogie” Harrison Julian.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Diane Rogers and husband, Ronnie of Creston, LA; granddaughter, Michelle Alexander and husband, Curtley of Coushatta, LA; great-grandson, Trent Alexander and wife, Jessica of Stonewall, LA; great-granddaughter, Stacey Alexander Henderson and husband, Neil of Stonewall, LA; great-great-grandchildren, Emily Henderson, Will Henderson, Taylor Alexander, Peyton Alexander, Hayes Henderson, and Sibyl Kate Henderson; and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Curtley Alexander, Trent Alexander, Taylor Alexander, Neil Henderson, Will Henderson, and Merrill “Moochie” Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Peyton Alexander and Hayes Henderson.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Robert Hernandez for many years of care, Alara Home Health, and to the exceptional staff of Hospice of Natchitoches, especially Haley Roberts, Dorcas and Chaplain Buster Jordan for his music and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Davis Springs Methodist Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
