Last week Red River Schools took a moment to salute their transportation professionals, the bus drivers.
Students have been transported to and from school by school bus for more than 100 years, starting in 1915. Today, use of school buses helps keep an estimated 17.3 million cars off the road every year, saving 2.3 billion gallons of fuel. (These are, of course, worldwide figures)
At the Red River Parish School Board, we are grateful for our fine bus drivers, all dedicated to safely transporting our children.
