The basketball league at First Baptist Coushatta got under way last Saturday. The theme is Give All the Glory to God, and the theme is present on uniforms, flyers around gymnasium in the Family Life Center.
The first game of the season featured pre-K and first grade players. The first goal of the season was scored by #3 Duce Lewis of the Blue team. At the half-time break, Julie Page told the kids Bible stories and they took turns shooting free throws.
With the sound of children laughing and learning the game from a very young age, and the sound of parents shouting encouragement to their youngsters, the season is off and running!
Games are played each Saturday through February 27th. There will be a program of about 8 games each Saturday through the end of February at First Baptist Church.
