4-H Culinary Event

Earlier this week, a Culinary workshop was held at the 4-H office in Coushatta.  As you can see in the photos, they had a great experience.

Mrs. Kimberlyn Jones, the nutrition agent for Bienville and Red River, and I had a great time yesterday with these girls at the Culinary workshop.  They made BBQ chicken salad, orange glazed carrots, ambrosia salad, and edamame wontons.

They finished the day by making presentations on each part of MyPlate and making pineapple wontons.  They all learned about and really liked edamame!
