Under the lights Friday night, the Riverdale Rebels won their semi-final game and advance to the MAIS championship. Red River traveled to Moreauville but came up two points short in their game with Avoyelles High.
Riverdale Academy Rebels are going to the championship game next Thursday. Riverdale defeated number two seed Delta Academy Friday night to advance. The score was Rebels 30 – Raiders 14.
Elsewhere in Mississippi, Manchester Academy was conquering Humphreys 52 to 14.
The MAIS 2-A Championship game will be played Thursday afternoon at 3:00 pm. It will be played at Jackson Academy in Jackson, Mississippi.
Red River lost their final district game to Avoyelles in double overtime. Final score was Avoyelles 48 – Red River 46. The Bulldogs are now 5-2 overall and 4-2 in district. They wrap up the regular season next Friday on the road at Northwood.
