Veterans Day Observed

There were several observances of Veterans Day in the parish.  And there were “thank you” messages posted on social media thanking those who have served the country.  Here is a sample:

From Riverdale Academy…

Happy Veteran’s Day!

A special Thank You to our very own Veterans, Mrs. Brittney Mancil and Mr. David Campbell. Today, we honor you.

Thank you…
For your service…
For your sacrifice…
For our Freedom!

From Red River High School…

We did not get to do our normal big Veterans Day program this year because of Covid guidelines but Dr. Doughty did put together a little thank you for all our veterans we have on staff.  We are blessed to have 7 veterans on our staff who served our country and protected our freedoms and are now serving our students at Red River High School.  We want to say thank you to all the veterans, your sacrifices do not go unnoticed.

From Red River 4-H…

Today, 4-h wants to say a special thank you to our veterans and all who serve!  This month we are partnering with Operation Gratitude to write letters to our military. Last year we mailed over 800 cards and letters!!! Students went home with this letter writing guide. I want to see what class/school writes the most! I will pick them up in December. Students do not have to be 4-h members to write letters. Students can write as many letters as they’d like!

From Clara Springs Camp…

Day 11/30 Today is Veterans’ Day. Stop and thank a Veteran today for their service.  But when doing that also stop and pray over them, thanking the Lord for their service!

From Sheriff Glen Edwards…
Happy Veterans Day from Sheriff Glen Edwards and the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office! Thank you to all of our veterans for your service and sacrifice!
