The Holly Springs Cemetery in Hall Summit has cancelled the 2020 annual Memorial. It is usually held on the last Sunday of April.
The Treasurer of the Holly Springs Cemetery Association, Maxie Kitchings told The Journal they cancelled the event this year due to the COVID-19 virus. He said there will be special service and dinner on the grounds this year. Kitchens did say that people may place flowers on graves at any time.
Kitchens said the fund drive to pay for cemetery upkeep will be held. Members and people with relatives at Holly Springs Cemetery may send their donations to Holly Springs Cemetery Association c/o Maxie Kitchings, Treasurer at 823 Highway 507. He said donations may also be sent to the President, Jerry L Kitchings at 1099 Highway 786.
