Best Season Ever

The Red River High Soccer teams have just concluded their best seasons ever.  Both the boys and girls teams broke records for number of victories.

The Lady Bulldogs went into the record books as the first soccer team from the school to have back to back victories.  The Bulldogs now hold the record for most wins in a season.

The Bulldogs defeated North Caddo 3-1 in a district contest.  Also this season they defeated Peabody High twice.  Once by a margin of 5-0 and once 2-1.  And the Bulldogs tied Southwood High 3-3.

The Lady Bulldogs were victorious with wins against Bossier High 1-0 and against Woodlawn by the same 1-0 score.

Both teams concluded their season last week at Calvary.  This year Red River’s soccer field is still under construction in the new sports complex, so Calvary invited Red River to introduce their seniors at that final game.  The school posted, “Thank you Calvary for letting us use your field to celebrate.  Congratulations to our wonderful seniors.  Damon Miller, Austin Grigg, Savanna Campbell, & Schelby Narvaez

Soccer is becoming more popular in the Red River parish area.  Players are acquiring more skills and confidence in their abilities.  And with experience comes better playing performances.
