The Riverdale Academy Board has selected a new Principal for the school effective next fall. He is Danny Rester.
Board Member Cody Hillman was at the basketball game Monday night with Rester and his wife Valinda. Hillman was introducing the new Principal to Riverdale parents, friends and supporters. Hillman said the change was announced on Monday.
Rester has served in the public school system in the parish for the past seven years. He was Principal at Red River Junior High for three years. The past four years he has served as Assistant Principal at Red River Elementary.
The Resters wore bright red Riverdale t-shirts as they joined fans and students in enjoying the final basketball games of the regular season Monday night.
