Bryn Danzy is an 8th grade student at Red River Junior High. She is the daughter of Brett and Patience Danzy.
December 14-15th, Bryn attended a competitive softball pitching camp for LSU. She met Coach Beth Torina and the LSU Lady Tigers softball team. Bryn trained for two days perfecting her fastball and change-up pitches. She was able to work one-on-one with the coaches and player at LSU. Bryn said her favorite thing about the camp was learning to throw a screwball with Coach Beth.
Her mother, Patience Danzy said, “I am very excited that Bryn was able to attend this camp. She gained a lot of confidence and worked one-on-one with the pitching coach while she was pitching live at the plate to high school hitter.”
During the morning session, Bryn learned skills to improve spin, accuracy, and power. Bryn also had the opportunity to transfer these skills directly into live play during the Live At-Bat afternoon session. Live At-Bats against hitters offered Bryn a chance to learn how to set up a hitter up during an at bat, the “Ins & Outs” of controlling the strike zone, and the mental side of being in the circle.
