ETC… for Wednesday, December 18th

Today (December 18th) is the final in the Advent Luncheon series for 2019.  Lunch will be served at noon at First Methodist Church on Front Street. The menu includes corn and shrimp chowder, potato soup, and great deserts.

Bring the children to Cookies With Santa Saturday morning, December 21st.  The event will be held in McLemore Hall at First Methodist Church on Front Street beginning at 9:30 am.

Hickory Grove Baptist Church holds its Christmas Program on Sunday December 22ndat 11:00 am.

Red River and Riverdale basketball teams will be busy this holiday season.  Christmas holidays begin Friday, December 20th, however there are basketball games throughout the break.  Tonight the Red River Boys play Green Oaks in the Gibsland Bank Minden Holiday Classic.  The game is at 8:00 pm and will be played at the Rec Center in Minden.

Red River Girls travel to Moss Bluff north of Lake Charles for the Sam Houston Classic.  They have a challenging game against St Louis at 8:00 pm Friday night.  At 1:00 Saturday afternoon the girls play New Iberia.

On Friday night Riverdale Academy travels to northeast Louisiana to play Tensas Academy.  There will be both boys and girls games.
