Have you noticed the special equipment lined up on a rail behind the Council on Aging. It is a special work train that will be busy in our area in coming days.
The Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office posted:
Beginning the morning of Tuesday, December 3, 2019 a contractor will be performing routine maintenance on public and private railroad crossings along the KCS (Kansas City Southern) rail line. They will begin in the northern part of the parish near East Point and work their way southward. The work is expected to last approximately two weeks.
The contractor will post road signs alerting commuters of any road closures. As the work moves closer to town we will attempt to provide any major road closure information on our department’s Facebook page.
Please be alert and extra careful when traveling in the vicinity of a KCS railroad crossing over the next few weeks.
