The Sheriff’s Office and the Methodist Church work together to feed hungry parish residents. Each Thursday they deliver pizza and other foots from the Coushatta Pizza Hut.
Celia A. Norman represents the Sheriff’s Office and Mary Evelyn Jowers is her Sunday School Classmate at First United Methodist Church. For many months they have made their Thursday deliveries.
The Coushatta Pizza Hut supplies pizza, wings, and other delicious foods. These items are refrigerated so all the recipients have to do is heat and enjoy.
Norman told The Journal recently that the people they deliver to really enjoy getting them. Norman works with the Sheriff’s Office serving the elderly and economically disadvantaged in the parish.
