Each month during the school year, Taylor and Sons presents a school board Employee of the Month. For October, the recipient is Tameka Tarry, a school bus monitor.
Gwile Freeman presented the award. She read from the nomination statement submitted by Dr. Diane Newton. “Tameka worked at the Pine-Belt Head Start Program for over 5 years before coming to Red River Parish Head Start. From the time she joined the staff as a School Bus Monitor she has not stopped working hard and is committed to doing a great job.”
Freeman said, “She is a cheerful and friendly young lady who is willing to help others. She’s self-motivated and well capable of achieving any work task she is assigned.”
Tarry accepted the award graciously. When asked for a comment she said, “I am not a talker. Thank you all!”
