What better way for a youngster to start the day than enjoying a Muffin With Mom. Last Friday the Red River Head Start program invited moms to the school cafeteria for a social hour with their kids.
Christy Suggs is in charge of the Head Start program. She told the parents, “Thank you for a wonderful turnout today.” Suggs told The Journal, “We want to get more parent involvement with activities at school, and we want to get them more involved with their children.”
The room was filled with children’s laughter, and boxes and boxes of muffins were consumed. Check out the photo album with this article. Little mouths can make a big dent in a delicious muffin. The parents held their own in the eating department.
