ETC… for Wednesday, November 6th

There will be free dental screenings for first and second grade students at Red River Elementary School on Friday.  Permission slips from parents are required.

Last week approximately 75 10th-12th grade students were given a Free Dress ID.  The school posted, “These students earned a Mastery or Advanced on last year’s high school state assessments.  For the next 5 weeks these students will have free dress down days.  Dress must be school appropriate, and they must have their IDs on at all times.  Anything the administration says is inappropriate will result in loss of the free dress pass.

“We will also be rewarding our Freshman that had Mastery or Advance in 2 or more subject areas on their 8th grade state exams Friday.  We test again the first week in Dec. and hope we have more students to add to this list.  Let’s all shoot for Mastery and Advance.”

A couple of weeks ago The Journal reported that the Town Council had approved naming the new street leading into the football stadium Bulldog Drive.  The signs have come in and been installed.
