Boot Camp A Success

Red River Academic Academy held its first Boot Camp of the year on Saturday, November 19th.  Students came out from 8:30 a. m. – 11:30 a. m.  to participate in various hands-on activities.

RRAA sixth graders allowed their creativity to flow as they designed a pillowcase titled “All About Me.” Not only was this fun, but it was a great team building activity as well.  It allowed classmates to relax and visit with each other.

Students also were able to see how we learn about the past, by taking part in a simulated archaeological dig. After selecting their working area, students carefully uncovered buried artifacts. This activity called for a little collaborative problem solving, and a whole lot of fun.

After looking at the pictures, I think it’s safe to say our first Boot Camp was a success!

RR Academic Academy Principal Jacqueline Daniels furnished this report.
