Congratulations to Jim and Elizabeth Perkins and Pat Murray of Coushatta. They brought home trophies from the Crusin’ Grand Cane classic car show last Saturday. Jim’s newly acquired “old” Chevy pickup took the overall best in show trophy.
Friday night is the monthly fish fry at Clara Springs camp. And fish lovers be advised that Social Springs Baptist Church is planning a fish fry. It will be Saturday, November 2ndfrom 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Fish plates are $10 and business delivery is available.
The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting runners and walkers for the inaugural Light the Way 5k and Fun Run, a nighttime race under the Christmas lights of historic downtown Natchitoches. The race will take place on Friday, December 13, at 5:30 pm, beginning and ending in front of the riverbank stage. Race participants are encouraged to wear Christmas themed attire, costumes, or ugly Christmas sweaters. Attendees will receive swag bags and race t-shirts with their registration.
