October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Coushatta Post Office is offering mail patrons an opportunity to support Breast Cancer research with a special stamp.
Latonya Duncan is our local Postmaster. She has the customer service area decorated with pink ribbons and other signs of the month in addition to a display of a sheet of the special stamps issued by the United States Postal Service.
Clerk Debra Touchton told The Journal the Breast Cancer stamps are forever stamps, and they are good for first class postage. Touchton said, “We sell sheets of 20 stamps for $13.00. Two dollars of the purchase price goes to Breast Cancer research.”
The post office decorations will remain through the end of October. However Touchton said the stamps will remain on sale after that.
