Red River Defeats Winnfield

Friday the Red River Bulldogs played against the Winnfield Tigers in the third game for the district title. The score by the end of the game was 30-27 with leaving the Bulldogs 2-1 in the district.

The touchdowns were scored by Brian Palmer #8, Trey Smith #9, Jonnie Maxie #7 and Camron Keith #3 . All extra points were kicked by Ryder Hogan #34. Ryder Hogan also kicked a field goal from 35 yards that night.

By the end of the 4th quarter the Bulldogs and Tigers were tied 24-24 causing the game to go into overtime.  Each team had the chance to score 10 yards away from the end-zone. The Bulldogs managed to hold off the Tigers from scoring a touchdown, but they managed to score a field goal.

The Bulldogs managed to score a touchdown on their 4th down.  That allowed them to win the game by a score of 30-27.

Next Friday the Red River Bulldogs will go against Holy Savior Menard Eagles in Alexandria.  Kick-off is at 7:00 pm for the 4th game of district schedule.
