Three Nabbed After High-Speed Chase

Troopers located a stolen vehicle traveling southbound on I-49 in DeSoto parish Tuesday Evening.  The driver of the stolen vehicle refused to stop, and a pursuit began.  

The pursuit traveled from I-49 to LA 174.  After exiting onto LA 174, the driver continued to attempt to elude Troopers by driving at high speeds.  The pursuit ended when the stolen car crashed at the intersection of LA 174 and LA1.  The driver crashed out in a field on the east side of LA 1.  

After crashing, all subjects in the stolen vehicle fled on foot.  One subject was apprehended shortly after the foot chase started without incident. 

The other two subjects began to travel west on LA 174 and attempted to gain entry to a residence near the Red River / Natchitoches line.  The home owner notified authorities and as officers were approaching the residence, the subjects fled once again. 

Sometime later, another home owner in Natchitoches Parish notified authorities of two subjects attempting to gain entry of his residence.  This time as officers arrived on scene, the subjects remained on the property and attempted to take refuge in several abandoned structures on the property.  They were both taken into custody without incident. 

The Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office, The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office. Troop E Troopers, and Troop G Troopers all participated in the investigation and apprehension of the subjects.

Passenger:  Devonte D. Dorsey of Houston, TX
Charges:  Resisting Arrest, Possession of Stolen Things
Passenger:  Carl J. E. Taylor of Natchitoches, LA
