After a four year absence, Focus has returned to Red River Cowboy Church. Last Saturday afternoon about 50 youth from several churches gathered to have a lot of fun in the arena. They also participated in inspiring worship.
The afternoon began with inspiring worship music by the band 4 Days Late. The guest speaker was John Henry of Still Waters Cowboy Church at Carthage, Texas. He noted the theme was Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens the wits of another.” Henry said, “In life you will be really good at sin or really good for God. Hopefully you will make that choice this weekend.”
Then it was off to the rodeo arena. Participants were given armbands of four colors when the signed in. They represented the four groups that took turns at various events. There were races, attempts to catch a chicken, sorting cows, capture the flag (or heifer) and other fun activities.
Churches represented at the event, in addition to Red River Cowboy Church were Still Waters Cowboy Church, Davis Springs, Trinity, and Freedom Life.
