Early Voting in Red River Parish

Almost one thousand voters turned out in Red River Parish last week to vote early.  Figures from the Registrar of Voters Office indicate that most of the voters were white female Democrats.

A total of 968 votes were cast during early voting.  This includes 194 ballots received by mail.  A breakdown of voters is as follows:

By Sex, 60.7% were female and 39.2% were male.

By Race, 57.6% were white and 41.5% were black.

By Political Party, 54.2% were Democrats and 36.5% were Republican.

Election day is Saturday, October 12th.  The early voting, mail in and absentee ballots will be opened after the polls close on Saturday.
