Bulldogs Shut Out Bunkie

This past Friday the Red River Bulldogs played the Bunkie Panthers for the 2nd game for the district title. The final score of the game was 21 to 0 allowing the Bulldogs to redeem themselves from last week’s game against Many.

The Bulldogs scored three touchdowns and completing three extra points . Markus Brewer #19 scored the first touchdown of the night followed by an extra point by Ryder Hogan #36.  Cameron Keith #3 scored the 2nd and 3rd touchdowns of the night.  Both were followed by the completion of two extra points by Hogan #36.

Keith is shown in the top photo making a 3-yard run into the end zone for the final score of the game.  Below is Hogan demonstrating perfect form making the first of three successful extra point conversions.

The Bulldogs are now 1 and 1 for the district title and 3-2 overall.  The victory Friday night was coach John Bachman’s 100thwin as a high school coach.  Bulldog supporter Randy Thomas posted, “Congratulations Coach Bachman on win #100 as a High School Coach!! Glad it was in Bulldog Blue. Here’s to many more!!”  Bachman was presented a plaque to commemorate the milestone.
