This past Friday night the Red River Bulldogs went against the Many Tigers in the first district game of the season. The final score of the game was 21 to 35 leaving the Many Tigers with the district win. The Bulldogs are now 0-1 in district and 2-2 overall.
However the Red River Bulldogs proved that they would not be overlooked by scoring three touchdowns and completing three extra points. The first touchdown scored by the Red River Bulldogs was by #3 Cameron Keith in the opening seconds of the 2nd quarter. Keith ran one yard for the score and the point after was good.
With just over two minutes elapsed in the 3rdquarter, Quarterback Trey Smith #9 broke free for a 65 yard run to the end zone. Again the extra point was good. That’s Smith in the photo just breaking free from the pack of Tiger defenders.
The final Bulldog score came in the 4th quarter by #7 Johnnie Maxie. Again Ryder Hogan kicked the extra point to give the Bulldogs 21 points.
Star of the game for the Many Tigers was Terrence Williams. He scored all five of their touchdowns for 35 points.
The Bulldogs play again this Friday at the Red River Stadium against the Bunkie Panthers. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm.
