Northwest Louisiana stroke survivors will have the opportunity to express themselves through art in the American Heart Association’s Strokes for Stroke art therapy class for stroke survivors. Participants in the Strokes For Stroke classes will personalize their own version of a painting that will later be on display for the community in a traveling exhibit made possible by the Dr. George and Sandra Bakowski Foundation.
Locally Strokes for Stroke will be coordinated by the Red River Parish Health Unit in partnership with Jolie 1818 Art Studio in Coushatta. The paint day will be held Wednesday, August 21stfrom 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Jolie 1818 Art Studio on Front Street.
