The test of Journal Sports text message notifications was launched Sunday.  It appears everything went smoothly.  The Journal called a couple of people who got the message and they said they received the text and were able to go to the “test” audio feed. If you signed up for Riverdale text messages and did not get the test, let us know at RedRiverParishJournal@gmail.org.  Rebels fans will get a text about 6:45 Friday night, just before the broadcast of Riverdale’s first game against Prairie View Academy.

There will be a test of the text message notifications for the Red River Bulldogs on Thursday. Bulldog fans be looking for that.

If you have not signed up for text message alerts before local sporting events, go to The Journal’s menu bar and click on “Text Message Club” to sign up.
