Welcome New Assistant Principals

The high school and junior high welcomed new assistant principals this fall.  They were introduced to the School Board earlier this month.  Then they went right to work.

Pictured are Red River High Principal JC Dickey with Nicolette Doughty on the left and Christal Carper with Red River Junior High Principal Mike Peter on the right.

Carper had been a biology teacher at the high school.  She told the school board, “Thanks for a chance to work in administration at the Junior High.”

Doughty had previously served in Title I schools and is a graduate in Education.  She said, “It is important for you to know what I use when I make my decisions. Kids come first.  We’re here for kids and also helping our teachers develop further.”

Both Carper and Doughty were awarded two-year contracts by the school board.

  1. How about getting better teachers that actually want to teach children instead of the teachers that are there only for the damn paychecks
