Recently three students from Red River High completed their state certification testing to become Certified Nursing Assistants. This qualifies them to work in the medical field in nursing homes and other medical facilities.
CNA instructors Dawn Brewer and Shanica Keith offered the CNA course this past year. Two of Brewer’s students and one of Keith’s have completed their certification. Several other students who completed the classroom and internship at area nursing homes are pending completion of their state certification.
Students completing are Sha’Mya Lewis, Maddie Allums and Mallory Coleman. The Certified Nursing Assistant course will be offered again next fall at Red River High.
