The first Lenten Lunch at the Methodist Church was Wednesday. Participants enjoyed a delicious bean and sausage soup lunch with banana pudding for desert. The speaker was Bro. Nathan Davis of First Baptist. He spoke on Jesus’ encounter with the fig tree and how it relates to our bearing fruit. Next Wednesday at noon the Lenten Lunch speaker will be Doug Cain from First Methodist in Natchitoches. The public is invited to share lunch for the body and enrichment for the soul. There will be no impact on the wallet.
